- Originally known as Suva Seven Districts Association.
- It was established 40 years ago by our Rotuman Elders.
- The Association name was changed to Fiji Rotuman Association (FRA) to include all the Rotumans in Fiji. It was officially registered in 1996, 2005 and re-registered in 2022 as a non-Profit Organisation.
- The key objectives is to look after the interest and welfare of the Rotuman people outside of Rotuma.
- It has over 3,000 members and has the mandate of the Council of Rotuma and the Rotuman people.
- FRA is governed by its own Constitution, By-laws and annually Audited Financial Reports.
