A proposal was submitted to UNDP to fund an Open Pollinated (OP) vegetable seeds in Itu’muta Rotuma. This is the first type of project in Fiji and the (OP) seeds should be able to tolerate most pests and disease and high adaptability to all year round planting.
The UNDP funding support will ensure access to quality organic seeds in Rotuma and to improve food security on the island.
